A 2,600-acre residential community and golf resort destination surrounding the 320-acre, privately-owned Lake Las Vegas with 10 miles of shoreline.
Golf
The two Jack Nicklaus courses--SouthShore Golf Club and Reflection Bay --are already in play and the Tom Weiskopf course is due to open late this Spring.
Jack Nicklaus took advantage of dramatic topography in designing South Shore. The result is a layout with elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,750 feet. This par 71 course features generous fairways, up to five tee boxes per hole and offers strategic bunkering and forced carries over canyons and water.
Reflection Bay, a 7,261 yard, par 72 resort course, boasts five tee settings with five holes hugging one-and-a-half miles of shoreline and three major waterfalls. The course was named one of America's best modern golf courses by both Golf & Travel and Golfweek. Golf Digest ranked it one of the country's best new private golf courses.
The resort has announced plans for a fourth course, Rainbow Canyon, which will be designed by Tom Fazio. Two other courses are being planned to open throughout the next decade, giving Lake Las Vegas Resort a total of 108 holes of golf that will weave through the desert, mountains and lakeshore.
Real Estate
800+ luxury residences are planned, starting at the mid $200,000s.
The Viera condominiums were the first residences to be opened. Nestled in the resort village, the condos vary from studios to three-bedroom units, and overlook the Village, lake and hillsides. These residences border a courtyard terrace, and have complete amenities. A limited number of condos are now available.
The architecture of MonteLago Village is based on the Mediterranean waterfront villages built centuries ago, including pastel buildings with contrasting window trim, balconies and shutters. The pastel earth tones of the facades are in contrast with the multi-hued tile roofs. Two to six story buildings edge plazas and narrow streets.
The condos include a two-story central lobby with reception area, energy-saving exterior glazed doors and windows, efficient water-source heat pump for air conditioning, a state-of-the-art fire protection from automated sprinkler system and expansive nine-foot ceilings.
Miscellaneous
The 350-room Ritz-Carlton hotel was completed in February. With three more golf courses, additional upscale single-family homes and the opening of the hotel, the village continues to expand. Other amenities include a spa, casino and cobblestone walking path. The village is twenty minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
