Arnold Palmer's 18-hole championship course sits amid the rolling hills of Brentwood, 10 miles outside of Nashville.
Golf
The course features stone walls, Meyer's zoysia grass fairways, Crenshaw bentgrass greens, pearl white bunkers, waterfalls, creeks and dramatic elevation changes. From the Par 4 dogleg first hole---with its manmade lake, plateaued landing and guarded green, to the 18th hole with the Pleasant Hill Mansion as its backdrop-this Par 72, 7031-yard course provides a strategically challenging experience.
Golf membership categories range from the National Membership ($15,000 initiation fee, $225 a month) to the Gold Membership ($35,000 initiation fee, $450 a month), with several choices in between.
Real Estate
The 618-acre development has space for about 400 homes. There are currently five residential neighborhoods at the Governors Club:
The Governors Overlook, which has custom homes starting in the $500,000s. The Governors Retreat, with homesites in the $120,000s and homes in the upper $500,000s. The Governors Woods, where homesites start at $130,000 and custom homes begin in the $600,000. The Governors Ridge, homesites from the $125,000s and custom homes from $600,000. The Governors Estates, with homesites around $230,000 and homes topping $1 million.
Residents may choose architectural plans or they have their personal architect design the home. Once a home has been constructed within The Governors Club, it may not be built within the community again. All plans must be submitted to the Architectural Review Board for approval prior to construction.
Miscellaneous
Other amenities for residents include: swimming pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, a fishing lake, walking trails, and dining at the Smokehouse Grill. The Nashville Airport is 20 minutes away.
